Jeannie Stell, President, Energy Ink, 713-240-5157
After 25 years in the energy industry, Jeannie Stell retired from Hart Energy Publishing in July 2012 at the age of 55. Prior to her retirement, she recognized the coming boom in the midstream oil and gas industry and worked with Hart Energy to create and manage the highly successful Midstream Business magazine, the first of its kind. Also, she created and launched the Marcellus Midstream Conference and Exhibition, a multi-million-dollar event which continues to grow in size and attendence. Prior to founding Midstream Business, Jeannie was Financial Editor for Oil and Gas Investor and Survey Editor for Oil and Gas Journal. Her work is widely published in print and online, in several languages, and has been noted in white papers by organizations as varied as the U.S. Geological Survey, Microsoft and Iranian National Oil Co., among others.
Dave Luther, Director of Digital Products, Energy Ink.
In 1976, Dave Luther began his programming career using a teletype machine and stored programs on punch cards, and has been working in the industry ever since. As a mechanical engineer, he owned and managed several large steel-fabrication companies in Ohio, including HD Luther Inc. and its subsidiaries, Sandpiper Products Co. and Enabling Devices Co., among others. He profitably sold the companies for his retirement and moved to Texas, where he is a freelance features writer and a designer and developer of large projects such as websites, blogs and newsletters and small projects such as travel logs and business cards. He holds numerous patents in electronic and mechanical devices and continues to build his skill in computer optimization.
For years, freelance photographer Mieko Mahi’s still photography and video services have been the trusted name throughout the oil industry for companies wanting their operations captured in remarkable visuals. Upstream, midstream or downstream, oil and gas companies regularly call on Mahi to create images for use in collateral marketing and informational materials. Her photos have been featured on the covers of everything from industry magazines to annual reports. Karen Stachewicz is a commercially published writer and researcher. Her work has appeared in print and online. Stachewicz writes about the energy industry with a focus on both technology and personality. She is also a meticulous copy editor and proof reader and is available to conduct interviews and proof layout pages. She is also a real estate agent near the emerging Utica shale play in northeastern Ohio.
